Why I Joined The ClickBank Profit Club

Is the Free System Really Worth It?

A plain-English look at building an email list with a ClickBank affiliate offer

Hey there, folks! My name is Bill Marks. Welcome to my blog.  Image of the founder of Bill Marks Online

In this first post, I’m taking a close look at ClickBank Profit Club, a free done-for-you ClickBank system, and why I joined.

This blog is new. I’m using it to share what I learn about affiliate marketing and email lists, what seems to work, and what doesn’t. No fancy talk. No big promises.

Grab a cup of coffee, and let’s get into it.

Why I Chose Affiliate Marketing

There are plenty of ways to start an online business. You can sell products, offer services, or open a store.

Affiliate marketing made the most sense to me. Here’s how it works. You tell people about someone else’s product. If they buy through your special link, you may earn a commission.

You don’t make the product. You don’t pack boxes or ship orders. You don’t run customer support. The company that sells the product handles all of that.

That doesn’t mean you can toss links around the internet and watch money roll in. Far from it. You need to find the right people, share useful information, and build trust. That’s the real work.

I chose ClickBank because it has a big marketplace of digital products that affiliates can promote. But I’m not going to promote everything I see. I’d rather go slow and do this the right way.

If you’re brand new to all this, my post on Affiliate Marketing for Beginners explains the basics.

Why an Email List Beats Sending Links

Depicts the journey to success.

At first, affiliate marketing looks simple. Find a product. Get your link. Send people to the offer. Hope somebody buys.

But think about it. Say 100 people click your link. A few look around. Most leave without buying. Once they leave, you may never see them again. All that work to get a click, and no way to stay in touch.

Now try it another way. Give people a reason to join your email list first. If they sign up, you can send helpful tips, answer questions, and tell them about things that may interest them. You’re no longer counting on one click to do all the work.

An email list is something you build over time, and it belongs to you. People can unsubscribe whenever they want, and that’s fine. The point is to stay in touch with people who actually want to hear from you.

What Is ClickBank Profit Club?

ClickBank Profit Club is a product sold through ClickBank and created by John Thornhill. It’s built around that exact idea: promoting a ClickBank offer while building an email list at the same time.

It’s not a course, and it’s not a webinar. It’s a done-for-you system. Here’s how the program describes what you get:

  • Your own ClickBank marketing funnel, built, branded, and hosted for you, ready to collect leads and make sales
  • Every lead who enters your funnel goes onto your email list, in your own AWeber account, not someone else’s
  • More than one way to earn commissions, across upgrades, upsells, and additional products inside the membership
  • Live coaching, unlimited support, and a team of experts to help when you need it

To me, the big idea is ownership. Most affiliates send people to someone else’s page and hope. Here, the funnel and the list are yours.

Here’s My Take on ClickBank Profit Club

What I like most is simple: the system works the way it is supposed to.

You can get started without putting money into the program itself. The funnel is built, your leads go into your own email list, and you can use free traffic methods like blogging and social media to get things moving.

That does not mean results happen overnight. Free traffic usually takes more time and consistency.

If you want to speed things up, paid traffic is available. That is optional, and the cost is up to you.

For me, that is a fair setup. You can start with free traffic and add paid traffic later if it makes sense for your budget.

Without hesitation, I would recommend ClickBank Profit Club to anyone looking for a solid start in affiliate marketing. I think it may be even more valuable for someone who has been trying to get started but has not yet gained traction.

Is ClickBank Profit Club Really Free?

Here’s something I like: ClickBank Profit Club itself is free. You can get started without any money out of pocket.

The program also offers other products, but you don’t have to buy them to take part. They’re optional. If you do choose to buy something they offer, there’s a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked.

Now, let’s be honest. At some point, free may stop being free. Here are the main things I know of:

  • The email service. Your leads go into your own AWeber account, so you’ll need one. AWeber offers a free plan, and paid plans may apply as your list grows. Check AWeber’s current pricing and subscriber limits before you decide.Check AWeber’s pricing page and confirm these limits are current.
  • Paid traffic. You can bring people to your pages for free with organic traffic, like blog posts and social media. That takes time. If you choose to pay for ads instead, that’s money out of your pocket.

The optional products are another place costs could show up, but that’s always your choice. I’ll be clear with you about costs as I run into them, so nothing catches you by surprise.

Affiliate disclosure: My blog post contains affiliate links. If you join through one of those links, I may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. For more information, see the FTC’s guidance on affiliate disclosures.

Who Is Behind It?

The program was created by John Thornhill. He has more than 20 years of experience in online marketing and is a nine-time ClickBank Platinum Vendor. I checked these claims myself through ClickBank, so I’m not just repeating a sales page.

That said, his results are his. Yours will depend on the work you put in.

Who Is ClickBank Profit Club NOT For?

I want to be upfront about this part.

  • If you want money fast with no work, this isn’t it. Nothing is.
  • If you won’t put time into learning, writing, and getting traffic, you’ll likely be disappointed.
  • If you expect everything to stay free forever, it may not. See the section above.
  • If you want a program that sends you visitors, this isn’t it. Getting traffic is up to you, the affiliate.

The program gives you a funnel and a path. You still have to understand what you’re doing, learn how the system works, and bring people to your pages.

What I’ll Share Next

From here, I’ll keep working with the system and writing about it. I’ll cover how to build your list, how follow-up emails work, and how to bring interested people to your blog. If something is confusing or doesn’t work, I’ll say so.

I’m not setting a big deadline for making money. I’m focused on learning the basics and building a good foundation, one step at a time.

Want to Take a Closer Look?
